What is AlphaGPT?
Updated on
The short answer
AlphaGPT is a web application that analyses a screenshot of a trading chart using Smart Money Concepts and returns a numbered plan: direction, order type, entry, stop, targets and a position size matched to your risk. It optionally connects to a MetaTrader 5 account to read live prices and, if you ask it to, place the order. It is not a signal service, not a trading robot, not account management, and it does not provide personalised investment advice.
What it does
You send the image of a chart. The application reads the instrument from it, pulls that instrument’s real data from your broker across several timeframes, then applies Smart Money Concepts by computation: detecting highs and lows, breaks of structure, order blocks, fair value gaps, liquidity zones and when they get taken.
What comes out is not an annotated picture but a numbered plan: a direction, an order type, an entry price, a stop, one or more targets, and the size that follows from your risk percentage and your real equity. The reasoning behind the plan is written out in plain language, not merely displayed.
A second use exists for those following signal channels: pasting the text of a signal produces the same structured plan, with the size computed on your account rather than on the account of whoever wrote the signal.
Three reading modes are available, scalp, intraday and swing. They do not change the method but the depth of history consulted and the timeframes the entry is looked for on.
What it does not do
It guarantees no profit. Trading carries a risk of losing capital, and an analysis is a hypothesis, not a prediction.
It places no order without an explicit action from you. There is no automatic mode, no background execution, no delegated management.
It has no access to withdrawals or transfers on your broker account. Neither MetaTrader password allows that, including the one that permits trading.
It provides no personalised investment advice and manages nobody’s funds. What it produces is a technical reading of a chart, and what you do with it is up to you.
Finally, it is not a signal service: there is no trader behind it sending out ideas. Every analysis is produced on demand, on the chart you give it.
What you get on screen
A written analysis, explaining the reading of the chart in plain language instead of dropping a few levels with no context.
A numbered plan beside it, presented target by target, each with the size matching your risk. Targets can be taken separately, or all at once.
A journal that fills itself from your account, so you can find what you took and what became of it without writing anything down.
And the case where there is nothing to do: when the market does not lend itself to an entry, the analysis says so instead of inventing one. That answer is a result, not a failure.
What you need to use it
A MetaTrader 5 account with any broker. Chart analysis can be tried before connecting one, using a reference price feed.
No credit card is required to start.
And above all, the investor password is enough. It is a second password supplied by every MetaTrader broker, read-only, which forbids any position being taken at the level of the broker’s server. So you can judge the tool on your own account with no order ever able to leave. The question is covered in detail in our guide on which password to give an analysis tool.
Availability, languages and pricing
AlphaGPT is aimed at Europe and is not marketed in the United States.
The interface and the analyses exist in French, English, Spanish, German and Italian.
The subscription is monthly, in euros, with a free tier that lets you try without paying, then three paid levels differing by analysis volume and features. Annual billing is offered at a reduced price inside the application. Current amounts are shown on the pricing page.
Who it is for, and who it is not for
The tool is aimed at retail traders who want a structured reading of a chart without doing the analysis themselves, complete beginners included. It does assume you know what an order, a stop and leverage are.
It is not for someone looking for an automaton to leave running, nor for someone wanting to delegate their decisions. Every position starts with a click, and that is a design choice rather than a technical limit.
The vocabulary used in the analyses is that of Smart Money Concepts. If those terms mean nothing to you, our glossary goes through them one by one, and our page on reading an analysis explains what each line of the plan means.
